Twelve hours ago I was just about to present to OMD. It went well. I think.
I was very nervous. More nervous than I thought I would be. Usually I am able to cope with public speaking. I did speech and drama classes for five years in high school, threw myself into drama, musicals and plays and was house captain in my final year. Perhaps it was the pressure of the fact it was my idea we were presenting.
There was a lot going on in my head.
Although a nerve-racking experience, it was incredibly rewarding. I have enjoyed this brief greatly and loved the creative-energy I have felt within myself. The interviewers really enjoyed our campaign; the fact we stuck to the clients core characteristics, sculptured our executions around our target audience and in particular the copy I created. I have been encouraged me further my copy skills as I may have a chance down the copywriting path.

Most rewarding of all has been the feedback from the idea. To have even a small positive response from such successful and knowledgable individuals is amazing.
To think they actually like my idea.
That they would want to use to as a campaign.
Wow.
No matter whether or not we get the internship, today has instilled within me the feeling of accomplishment and excitement. I feel safer where I am right now in my life. I feel like I am on the correct pathway towards that dream.
p.s. When we visited OMD last week a lady had her puppy with her in the office. Yes you read that right. A PUPPY. And a bloody adorble one. Like any sane person, a workplace you can bring adorble cuddly puppies to is the workplace you gotta strive to be in.
